Sexism Begins in Childhood

Since the light is shining brighter on sexism in our society right now, I thought it would be appropriate to think about how early parenting has an effect on how our children see the roles of men and women in society. Hopefully, with these ideas in mind, we can teach our children to have a better understanding of gender, and treat everyone with respect and dignity every human deserves.

Raising Grateful Children and Squashing Materialism

There is the old adage, "you can't give your child something you don't have yourself." If we want grateful children, we'll have to model gratitude first. "Gratitude is more than behavior-- it is an internal experience... of NOTICE-THINK-FEEL-DO." Let's try to be mindful of this, for the sake of our children.
