How to Praise Our Children

Overpraising can negatively affect children's effort, ability, their view of themselves and more.
Try These 10 Mindful Phrases to Effectively Praise Your Kids

When you do praise your children, and aren't sure what to say, sportscast.  Describe what you saw and if you remember, teach them that that is a positive character trait.
Examples:
It was kind when you gave one of your apple slices to Tommy.
I saw how you tried to put that piece into the puzzle many ways until you found its place, that shows persistence.
